Radiochemistry Laboratory
The Radiochemistry Laboratory is adjacent to the MIP on the 8th floor (rooms 8304 and 8303) of the Simches Building. This laboratory performs all radiosynthesis and quality control as well as in vitro and in vivo evaluation.
Lead-shielded hoods and cells
- Flow hood and mini-cell with 2 inch lead to operate high-energy radioisotopes (18F and 64Cu).
- Shielded fume hood for small amounts of low-energy radioisotopes such as 111In and 99mTc.
Reaction devices
- Automated PET Synthesizer with integrated high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) purification can be programmed to perform one or two reactions automatically, varying from mCi to Ci of 18F.
- Microwave system for efficient radiometal complexation and manual 18F-chemistry.
