Description: We are seeking a motivated and talented synthetic chemist with interest in applying your enthusiasm to medical imaging to join our laboratory located at Navy yard campus at Mass General Hospital. Our lab is focused on developing small molecule-based imaging probes (MRI, PET, fluorescence) targeting immune systems in neurodegenerative diseases and other inflammatory diseases. We are an open, multi-disciplinary team with chemists, biologists, and imaging experts working collaboratively and learning from each other. Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for probe design, multi-step synthesis of imaging agents for different modalities (e.g., MRI, PET, fluorescence), radiolabeling for PET probes, and probe validations. You are encouraged to get involved in in vivo validation and imaging studies.
Requirements: A PhD degree in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry with an ability to work independently and solve technical problems in the synthesis. Communication skills to work collaboratively in a vibrant and interdisciplinary research environment.
